This artwork was created for the International Woman’s Day 2021, to show how there is strength in fragility. The woman is scarred and bruised but she still manages to grow beautiful, delicate wings and fly, continuing to fight on regardless and managing to take care of loved ones. It reminds us of a very old photography, if Victorians had colour photography. The idea is timeless and the way it’s represented, women can re-build their strength and fly again, they have the strength to re-build their lives for their loved ones time and time again.
