Ines Scheithauer I was born in 1966 in Zschopau and grew up in Chemnitz, Germany. I discovered my passion for painting at a very early age. In school, I was encouraged by my art teacher, and one of my first large-scale projects—a mural—still exists today. I first trained as a nurse, and later went on to study graphic design. While raising two children, I never stopped painting and continued experimenting with different styles in every free moment. Over the years, I participated in small press exhibitions and completed several commissioned works. Many of my paintings now hang in medical practices or have been sold. At the hospital where I work as a head nurse (Klinikum Chemnitz), I also had the opportunity to contribute to the design of a newly constructed ward with my artwork. One of my greatest joys is leading art workshops for oncology patients at my clinic, offering them a creative and peaceful escape from their difficult everyday hospital life. Since 2021, my works have also been available on Instagram—an important step for me as an artist to share my work more publicly. My primary medium is acrylic on canvas, but I also create sculptures, collages, and watercolors. I love exploring new styles and prefer not to be tied to a single technique. At home, I have a dedicated art space, which is essential for turning inspiration into action immediately—even amidst a busy professional and family life.
