Archaeologists identified at least three structural repairs on the Sinan ship’s hull, marked in the diagrams above. In the top plan view, two circular markers appear near the front and middle of the hull, indicating damaged or replaced sections of the planking and ribs. In the lower cross-section, a red circle at the base of the keel shows reinforcement at the lowest structural point of the hull. These repairs suggest the vessel had experienced prior strain—perhaps from storms or grounding—well before it sank off the coast of Sinan.
