Vita + Artist statement

I am a passionate abstract artist, born in Hannover, Germany. Now I‘m based in Southern Bavaria, near Munich. After finishing my professional life, I work, as often as I can, in my beautiful studio in Andechs.

Since 2004 intensive engagement with painting in different techniques as well as painting trips to Southern France, Masuria, Morocco. Various painting courses with well known German artists.

It is my aim to harmonize color, line and form. Sometimes one predominates, sometimes the other. Starting with the colors that first appear on the canvas, a wide variety of forms emerge, which gradually seek to be combined with one another. In doing so, I form a variety of associations which I draw on and process depending on my mood. I‘m always in dialogue with my paintings, responding to the different challenges until I find a wonderful result.

Technique: Multi-layered work with filler, gesso, various acrylic paints, oil pastels, charcoal, newspaper…
