Feathered Friends,
Perched so softly atop the hemlock tree. Displaying your brightly colored
feathers–proudly revealing yourself to me.
Morning light peeks out of the fog, intricate details of the forest landscape become illuminated. Branches
intertwined with soft thistles, and
pinecones have accumulated.
The time has come to store your food and fluff up those feathers, for winter is almost here! Your nestlings have flown the nest and now it’s your time to do the same and be a sightseer.
