Model of the Sinan Ship
This museum model reconstructs the 14th-century Chinese merchant ship found off Sinan, Korea. It features a broad wooden hull, flat bottom, and two battened lugsails—ideal for long-distance ocean travel. Internal bulkheads provided structural strength and cargo protection. The open deck left goods and crew partly exposed to the elements.
