Metal Belt Clasps recovered from the Sea-bed

These bronze clasps were recovered from the wreck site. They were fitted to leather belts and used to secure weapons, pouches, and other equipment. Their varied shapes and sizes reflect the diversity of fittings used by Mongol soldiers during the invasions of Japan.
