In this piece, the use of monochrome colours and the contrast between the black and white extenuate the limited navy blue in parts of the piece. Through this piece, I aim to represent natural elements using a monochrome colour palette and create the shapes using geometric shapes and lines to diminish the vibrant colours usually found in nature and adopt the hues and regularities of a more industrial setting, commenting on the destruction and reduction of nature caused by industrialisation.
