IB Year 12 - Erosion
200 x 160 x 5 cm (h x w x d)
Painting

This piece is a continuation of ‘new memory'. I wanted to focus on the fading of memories. To show this diminishment of a memory, I zoomed into the knee to show the focus required to recall old memories (faded scar). Furthermore, the intense wave surrounding the leg is meant to show the continuous passing of time with no moments to pause, showing how water erodes memories over time just as it erodes rock and land away into nothing , only leaving small remnants of what was once there.
