A personal dedication from a gentle Bristolian to her Dutch Grandmother (Oma). The Zout (salt) pot that travelled the generations and remains a daily reminder of heritage, tradition and those we lose.

Ellen has painted several of these still life paintings with different seasonal influences. The pumpkins in this one are a nod to Autumn, with added warmth and texture through the use of glowing oranges and yellows, and the wooden board to highlight them.
