Direct materials procurement platform SourceDay has introduced SourceDay Intelligence. The new platform employs SourceDay’s patent-pending artificial intelligence and machine learning software to turn reactive supply risk mitigation into proactive risk management, and essentially head off the up to 70% of inbound supply issues that occur prior to shipment.
SourceDay Intelligence is engineered to enhance supply chain performance by detecting and predicting both known and unknown inbound supply risks, recommending effective resolutions, and automating no- and low-risk purchase-order changes to enable enhanced focus on critical activities.
A key differentiator of the platform is that it is powered by SourceDay’s proprietary PO lifecycle-management dataset. It contains information from more than $60 billion in direct spend, 100 million PO change transactions per year, and interactions with more than 101,000 suppliers, and continues to grow. This results in SourceDay Intelligence uncovering risk blind spots that can’t be identified by other applications.
Critical areas of risk in inbound supply — including supplier reliability, on-time delivery and order cost containment — are highlighted and prioritized through the system’s risk cohorting feature, which highlights and prioritizes what is in most need of attention.
Specific benefits include identifying and resolving issues with potentially late POs, identifying POs that may have fallen through the cracks, uncovering and addressing supplier-proposed PO changes, and identifying and mitigating PO delivery failure due to email issues.
SourceDay Intelligence equips companies with tools tailored for this new era of supply chain risk.
