Samuel Parker, director of shipper segment with DAT, describes the company's iQ platform, which hosts the new and improved DAT iQ Benchmark, an AI-powered business tool for shippers.
DAT is releasing new analytics solutions on the iQ platform to equip shippers and brokers with freight rate insights generated by a new AI-powered rate model trained on $150 billion in annual transaction data contributed by shippers and brokers. The platform provides an accurate pulse on spot and contract pricing across North America, including rates for truckload, LTL, intermodal and ocean transportation, the company said.
DAT iQ Benchmark, the latest offering introduced on the iQ platform, is a BI tool that contextualizes performance relative to the market, aiding shippers in validating and analyzing transportation procurement metrics. Shippers can now compare their performance to all contributors over time and across a broad range of attributes. Interactive data visualizations allow them to identify key business drivers and optimization opportunities within their supply chain network, DAT said.
According to DAT, the new offering was developed in response to dynamic changes and increasing volatility in the freight transportation market, for shippers looking for a new level of rate visibility and analytics to manage their freight spend and operations.
Ken Adamo, chief of analytics at DAT, stated, "The data and analytics solutions we’re developing on the iQ platform reaffirm our commitment to provide a comprehensive transportation pricing and analytics platform. With DAT iQ Benchmark, shippers can gain valuable insights and enhance overall supply chain resilience."
